Data collection as part of the northern unsaturated zone studies was completed in 2003. A report analyzing data from all nine unsaturated-zone sites in the High Plains was published in Water Resources Research in 2006. The rangeland unsaturated-zone study sites in Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas are being used to examine the relation between climate and recharge events.
