Historical data for the Blue River Watershed have been compiled by the U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with several organizations: Summit County, Denver Water Board, Silverthorne/Dillon Sanitation District, Breckenridge Sanitation District, Copper Mountain Consolidated Metropolitan District, Frisco Sanitation District, Snake River Sanitation District, and the towns of Frisco, Dillon, Montezuma, Breckenridge, and Silverthorne. From 1957 to 2006, 16 agencies have collected water-quality data and biological data at a total of 1849 sites within the watershed. These data have been compiled into a single relational data base. Types of water data collected include major ions, nutrients, trace metals, pesticides, and volatile organics. Types of biological data collected include fish, algae, and macroinvertebrate information.

A summary of available data (2.2 MB Microsoft Word file) may be downloaded. Alternatively, queries may be made of the data base to retrieve only data specifically of interest.
